Not everyone has the ability to be coached. Why? Because there are many people in sales that believe that what they are doing is working. If it’s not working, it is not their fault. Sales is not about fault and not about personality, though most think it is. Do you know how often I hear, “he’s got a good personality, he will be great in sales”. It is soooo not about that! I cant emphasize that enough! I promise you! Some of the best salespeople I have ever met have been more introverted. How is that possible? because it is not about the pitch, it is about how you use a sales process. Not a memorized script but a process to follow.
