Being a sales team leader is not the same as leadership in other departments. Why? Because salespeople have different needs and requirements than someone on a fixed salary with a static job description.

Teaching is helping subordinates self-realize the answer on their own and not always blurting out the answer for them. The old adage, “Give someone a fish, they eat for a day. Teach tern how to fish, they can for a lifetime,” really applies here. There a real pride in coming up with answers on their own which is what we all strive for in a sales employee.
Growing an organization involves helping people to be the best that they can be. This will help in reaching their failure but not failing. Don’t get scared, but this is worlds different than succeeding. To succeed, leadership needs to be ever-present.
